Vahid Ghomashchi brings a combination of academic and professional experiences together in the area of development planning and sustainability. Through collaborating with interdisciplinary programs Dr. Ghomashchi’s research focused on Sustainability and Climate Change Adaptation Planning, Collaborative Planning and Community Capacity Building and the role of ethics and values in planning.

During his 10 years academic experience, Dr. Ghomashchi has taught various courses, in the field of Development Planning for both undergraduate and graduate programs. He is currently Director of Planning Department, Town of Stratford PEI. As a professional Planner and Strategic Policy maker, he is a full member of Canadian Institute of Planners. He teaches ENV 202 Sustainability and Sustainable Development.
